Questions

Power & Electricity

Clever Clothesline is powered by mains electricity via a standard outdoor electrical connection.

No. A dedicated power supply is not required.

Yes. Electrical setup is fully included as part of the installation process.

No. When not in use, it can be switched off and uses no electricity.

In automatic mode, it uses a very small amount of power, approximately €0.02 per day.

In manual operation, usage is even lower at around €0.01 per day, plus minimal electricity for the optional night light.

Electricity usage is extremely low and designed to be energy-efficient, especially compared to tumble dryers.

Rain Detection & Automation

Rain is detected instantly. Once detected, it takes approximately 30 seconds for the clothesline to retract and the doors to close fully.

Clever Clothesline responds immediately to rainfall but does not activate during fog or light drizzle.

This is intentional, as clothes typically won’t dry properly in damp conditions and outdoor drying is not recommended in this weather.

Yes. You can easily switch to manual mode at any time.
